Brian Farr - Bio PhotoBRIAN FARR – Studio Instructor
Drums – Brian has been performing and teaching privately for the past twenty years. He received his bachelor’s degree in Music Education/Jazz Performance from Temple University in 1993. After graduating, he studied at The Drummers Collective in New York City. Since then, he has kept a busy schedule of playing, teaching, and recording. Brian has been fortunate enough to play with many local jazz greats including Larry McKenna, George Rabbai, Tony Miceli, Chris Farr and many others. He has performed with such local bands as The Exceptions, Alex Glover and Company and All About Me. He has performed extensively throughout the country and has recently recorded for LL Cool J and Jennifer Lopez.

 

Anthony Di Bartolo - Drum InstructorAnthony M. Di Bartolo – Drum Instructor
Drums – Anthony M. Di Bartolo is a New Jersey-based percussionist, composer and teacher. Performing regularly in New York City, New Jersey and Philadelphia as a freelance percussionist, his experience spans contemporary music, theater, orchestral, improvisation collaborations, rock, jazz, studio work and more.

Anthony has performed as a soloist and chamber musician at Symphony Space, Lincoln Center (Out of Doors concert series), Ailey Citigroup Theater, Laurie Beechman Theatre, Robert Moss Theater (440 studios) and more. He has also performed at the Zeltsman International Marimba Festival and Philadelphia Fringe Festival as well as on recordings for the Innova label. Especially known for his work on snare drum, Anthony’s compositions Nine Lives and bounce!, a solo with pre-recorded audio are now considered standard repertoire for advanced players. Di Bartolo is the recipient of 1st place in the Atlanta Symphony Orchestra’s Modern Snare Drum Composition Contest (2013) and the second prize in the Percussive Arts Society Composition Contest (2012). Anthony’s music has had performances in Italy, The Netherlands, Spain, Mexico, Taiwan and across the United States.

As an educator, Anthony has held positions at Rowan University and Bellmawr Public Schools as well as maintaining a private studio since 2003. Although he specializes teaching classical percussionists he has experience and enjoys teaching drumset as well. Past students have won seats with region, All-State, summer festival and youth ensembles in addition to being accepted into nationally recognized music colleges.

Anthony holds a masterʼs degree from Ithaca College where he studied performance and composition with Gordon Stout and a bachelorʼs degree in music education from Rowan University where he studied with Dean Witten.

Conner Saltzer – Drum Instructor
Drums – 
Conner Saltzer is a Philadelphia-based musician. He has been working as a drummer and educator after graduating with a bachelor’s degree from the University of the Arts. Familiar and adept at playing many styles of music, Conner teaches fundamentals, the history of the instrument, and real-world skills to his students. Conner regularly plays and records in the area with his own band, and as a freelance musician.
