Piano student Jacob Garcia has successfully auditioned in the 2018 Elite International Music Competition. Jacob placed first in this competition, which qualifies him to perform at Carnegie Hall in April 2018. He is a student of Anna Sakoian.

Nick Marziani has been chosen as Tenor Sax 1 and Clarinet in the NAfME All National Jazz Band. This is a nation-wide competition and to be chosen to perform with talented students around the nation is an honor itself, but to be chosen as first tenor sax and clarinet is absolutley amazing! In addition to being given the opportunity in Nationals, Nick was recently named a 2018 YoungArts National Merit Winner in Jazz Alto Sax. He is a student of Tony Salicandro.

Piano student Tsion Mideska is a Grand Prize winner in the Early level Category at the 14th Annual Russian Music Competition sponsored by the New Jersey Talented Young Musicians Association this year. Along with the title of grand prize, she will be performing Dmitry Kabalevsky’s “Toccatina” for piano at Carnegie Hall on December 2 along with other winners. Tsion has been under the tutelage of Maria Botelho-Hubler since January 2017 at the Conservatory of Musical Arts in Audobon, NJ.

Updates on the exciting musical accomplishments of CMA students!

STEPHANIE SAGGIOMO, voice student of Janine Whitt, was cast as Ariel, the female lead in “Footloose” in the Pitman High School Summer  Camp Musical.

SARA RABATIN, voice student of Janine Whitt, was cast as the lead part of Marian in “The Music Man” at West Deptford Little Theater.

KAYTLYNN CAPASSO, DUSTYN DEBERNARDO and ANTHONY NIGRO will be attending University of the Arts this fall. All three are saxophone students of CMA Director, Tony Salicandro.

ELISABETH SIEGEL, voice student of Kaylé Brecher, was accepted into NYU Steinhart’s internationally competitive Classical Voice Intensive Summer Program.

MEGAN KALBERER, voice student of Kaylé Brecher, received acceptances from four well-respected university music programs, and has chosen to attend Mason Gross School of the Arts at Rutgers University in the fall.

NATE CONSTANS, trumpet student of Matt Cappy, was accepted into the Interlochen Arts Camp program for Summer 2013.

Performance Schedule:

Sunday, August 4th, 6:30pm: CMA guitar teacher, Greg Snyder, will be playing with The Greg Snyder Trio @ Sassafras Cafe in Philadelphia.

Sunday, August 18th, 3pm: CMA piano teacher, Eric Aldrich, will be playing on the beach with Dapp @ The Club at Diamond Beach

Thursday, August 29th, 8pm-11pm: CMA trombone teacher, Jarred Antonacci, will be playing with the Earl Phillips Big Band @ Chris’ Jazz Cafe in Philadelphia.
